  The aggressive air in waste incineration plants, waste-to-energy plants and sewage sludge incineration plants places special demands on the fan. A great deal of experience is required here for the rezi blowers as well as the combustion air blowers, which use frequency converters in combination with swirl controllers to ensure optimally precise and fast control of the grate combustion. In addition, the induced draft blowers have to be adapted to high pressures and aggressive process gas mixtures.

The production of high-quality cements requires special fans, such as fans with special impeller geometries to prevent caking in the raw flour area, cooler fans of the rotary kiln, and extremely wear-protected clinker coolers whose impellers are coated with a special tungsten carbide alloy to ensure a long service life and high availability. Wear protection for the fans used here is a must.

Conveying aggressive media

Wherever contaminated or aggressive media have to be conveyed, special process requirements have to be taken into account. We meet these, for example, by using particularly resistant materials. Here, among other things, fans are used for extraction.

In the refinery sector, on the other hand, pressure-resistant fans or explosion-proof fans are frequently used, e.g. for conveying sour gas.

Safety in high temperature ranges

Here, built-in fans are used in the dryer hood, for edge trim extraction, and rip fans. Special features in paper drying are process temperatures of over 500° C. Robust impellers, blockage-free material guidance and vibration-insensitive bearing designs are the main focus here.

High volume flows and large drive powers

Combustion air blowers with high air capacities are just as much in demand in these plants as large boiler induced draft fans with impeller diameters of up to 4,000 mm and drive powers of up to 7,500 kW.

Fans for generating a stable fluidized bed are used here, as are combustion air blowers and fans for process and sealing air.

Sturdy designs for harsh operating environments

For use in harsh operating conditions, such as those found in metallurgical plants, steel mills and rolling mills, we build our fans in extremely robust designs, combined with high efficiency and availability.

In addition to sinter dust blowers, the focus is on converter gas blowers, which with permanent water injection and circumferential speeds of over 230 m/s with impeller diameters of 3,900 mm represent the high-end range of today's fan technology.

In the food and beverage industry, high demands are placed on surface quality, roughness and cleanability for reasons of hygiene, which are mostly met by using glass bead blasted stainless steels and specially approved greases for the bearings.

Fans for malting plants must also meet special requirements: During the entire process in the malting plant, the highest demands are placed on purity and quality. The supply of fresh air heated to up to 120 degrees Celsius for the drying process and the removal of odorous exhaust air are essential in the process, with the moist heat inside the kiln towers posing a particular challenge for all the components used.

High demands on wear protection at high temperatures and large drive powers require a high level of process experience. Explosive dust mixtures require explosion-proof ATEX and EEx-compliant designs. Robust impellers, clog-free material guidance and vibration-insensitive bearing designs are of prime importance here.

In the wood industry, particularly wear-protected fans, explosion-proof fans or even pressure-resistant fans are used.

High temperatures in conjunction with dust-containing conveying media place special demands on the impeller geometries and bearing designs here.

In the field of textile hygiene, the manufacture of textile fibers and of non-woven products, conveying and tear fans are used.
